Dariusz Adamczuk arrived at Ibrox from Dundee in the summer of 1999 after turning down an offer from Celtic.

The Polish international was available for free under the Bosman ruling and has given Dick Advocaat another option at right-back.

Adamczuk has given Sergio Porrini a direct challenge and started well in the position at the beginning of the season.

However he lost his place for the Parma game after doubts about his fitness.

But he will prove to be a valuable, and versatile, player in a long season for Rangers.
